Two ingredient no churn ice cream recipe

I really have my son’s teacher to thank for this little interest, because we discovered our love of making (ahem, and eating) this ice cream after we were set the task of making ice cream for homeschooling.

Let’s be honest, unless you’re an avid ice cream maker or cook/chef, you’re probably not going to have a random ice cream machine loitering around the back of the cupboard. I know we don’t, and we love a good weekend baking sesh! I think having an option that is super simple, really cost effective and absolutely no churning or stirring for your ice cream is AWESOME.

So here is ours!

You will need:

  • 1 tin (397g) condensed milk
  • 600ml double cream
  • tsp vanilla extract OR anything to flavour

We usually make this with vanilla and I think it’s really reminiscent of Mr Whippy, which I think is Dole Whip in the US? Anyway, it’s like Mr Whippy for my UK babes.

Step 1: Whisk your condensed milk and cream together with the flavouring you chose (vanilla for us, though you could do anything and taste as you go) until the consistency of clotted cream.

Step 2: Add to a silicone loaf tin (or any container, I just find this easier to use!) and freeze for roughly 6hrs.

ENJOY!
