I have to say, jeans are pretty much the main part of my wardrobe. I wear them almost every day, with the odd exception of a skirt or dress or (during summer) my palazzo trousers. I guess it’s just what I find to be the most comfortable and I also use them to monitor my weight – for example my favourite pair of tiny jeans are currently looming at the bottom of the wardrobe reminding me that the baby weight I successfully lost has crept (read piled) back on in the last three months.
Turns out I’m in no way alone with my jean love – we’re all pretty obsessed, just take a look at this:
I can honestly say this is pretty accurate for me – I own roughly about 7-8 pairs of jeans, though I LIVE in one pair, occasionally wear the others and look longingly at the ones that currently laugh at my sizeable arse. I also have found that my jeans reflect the popular fits – I have a pair of each of these and love them accordingly. So I thought I’d show you a few little style boards for a change.
Here are 3 ways to style your jeans for Spring:
THE SKINNY FIT
I’m rather in love with those peep toes boots – sexy little things. And I’ve always found that the sort of burnt orange/coral colour suits me really well and makes me feel sultry, fresh and ready to rock… well, it would if I wasn’t so tired from, ya know, kids.
THE BOYFRIEND FIT
Those peep toes again. They are getting me every time this season. I am also totally crushing on that periwinkle blue and glorious pale pink blazer. Hello Spring!
THE HIGHWAISTED FIT
Highwaisted jeans hide a multitude of sins – literally a full belly of cake. YOLO.
So here’s the thing – now I’ve inspired you to rush out and stock up on jeans, here are a few things you really ought to consider before you go out and start spending your hard earned cash.
So there you have it! What is your favourite style of jeans?
