This was the handprint that Toby did at school, much better than ours so I had to share!

Hand print Santa, you can’t escape him. Pinterest has inspired us all to give it a go this year and, on the off chance that you haven’t seen him, I thought I’d share our attempts here.

Toby is loving crafting at the moment, he’s doing lots at preschool and we’re doing the odd but at home. I think it’s wonderful – crafting is something that can really help to build confidence, teach co/-ordination and help children understand colours. It’s worth doing, if if your not crafty, especially as this takes minimal effort and roughly 5 mins.

You need:

  • Red paint
  • White paint
  • Skin paint
  • A hand, preferably of the cute and small variety
  • A marker pen
  • Some eyes

Paint the top part of the hand and the thumb red, paint the middle skin colour and paint the fingers white. Slap hand to paper. Allow to dry.

Draw in Santa’s face and add the eyes. To this you could add glitter to add a bit of pizazz!
