If shape sorters & puzzles had a baby, it would be a Bass & Bass level puzzle.

I know a certain young man (Reuben) who would go absolutely crazy for this puzzle… there are so many parts to fit into different slots.

I’ll be honest, and this may come as a surprise as it is probably one of those things that you shouldn’t admit as a mummy BUT I despise puzzles. I hate shape sorters and I am bored to tears every time one of the boys wants me to join in… unfortunately, like more or less every child, my boys love them with a passion not too dissimilar to their favourite cartoon characters.

Various animals would appeal to Toby for sure!

Boats and bright colours – perfect combination for enticing children of preschool age.

So I spend ages online looking for puzzles that will be easy enough for them to do on their own but that will still challenge them, and I think these Bass & Bass level puzzles are great for doing just that!

They are kind of a shape sorter within a puzzle, which is perfect for making the boys think about what they are doing, and on top of it all – they look pretty darn cool!

Check them out at Smallable here.
