App week – The best apps for kids :: Monsters by Duckie Deck

Monsters by Duckie Deck App via Toby & Roo :: daily inspiration for stylish parents and their kids.

This app is just a great bit of fun – the belly laughs that come from the sofa when the boys are playing it.

This app is really cute – its probably one of the less educational ones we have and it has a theoretical purpose that my boys tend to ignore. The idea behind the app is that the “monsters” start in the dark shadows with ominous music and when you switch on the light they are brightly coloured, friendly and really silly.

What the boys love:

The monsters start off in the dark and then when the child switches the light on they turn into fun, quirky friends that you can interact with!

This is an example of the monsters. They are funny little characters and they all do something different.

The boys (especially Toby) think they are hilarious with their silly looks and noises! I’m quite lucky because neither of the boys have been especially scared on the dark yet, but if they were this would definitely help to sooth their minds!

What Mummy loves:

The only thing that appeals to me about this is the belly laughter that comes from the sofa whenever it is on! I do like the fact that the boys have to swipe back and forth to get the “monsters” to move back and forth, jump up and down and do all the different things they do.
