Supporting women in business :: The blog hand over :: Day 3

So Debs, who you are and why have you started a business?

I am a stay at home mum of 6 who after having 4 sons went on to have 2 daughters.  With this came a love of frills and original clothes that no one else has, making my own was a way of keeping the girls individual and showing their own personalities.  Sweet Evangelines was born – Evangeline is my daughter who is now 7.  (Amelia age 3 is the name behind my cupcake business too – Amelias Kitchen)!

1Cool! Tell me more about your business and what makes it unique?

Sweet Evangelines sells handmade clothes, handcrafted books, basically anything that can be made by hand I have tried it.  I love that I can now make our own printed t shirts too – having just invested in a heat press we are branching out into custom t shirts etc and this is proving to be very popular with bloggers who love the whole personalized charm.  Being a scrapbooker at heart means that I have always loved making things from scratch too so box frames filled with memories and mini albums for your to fill yourself are always a favourite to make.

The girls clothing is a huge love as I adore frills so you will find most of the clothes I make are packed with frills!
