I am always thinking of how to re-decorate, the living room, the hallway, the kitchen and even the boys playroom and bedroom. I don’t know what it is about me that makes me so restless when it comes to home decor, maybe it’s because it’s not my forever home that we live in, or maybe it’s just because I love interior design and keep seeing these amazing design ideas… Yeah, I’m blaming it on Pinterest!

Anyway, the boys have a great big bed in their room that they share after all the nights of them crawling into bed together, falling out of a cramped single bed or waking each other up. A few weeks ago they started pointing out bunk beds and raised beds whenever we were looking around shops (with one especially amusing incident in John Lewis where Roo decided to climb into a bunk bed while I was blissfully unaware). This month I’ve been lucky enough to be sponsored by the wonderful Room to Grow, and I wanted to share with you some of their beautiful pieces of furniture that can really make over your children’s room.

I’m trying to move more and more of the boys toys upstairs and these fabulous raised beds allow plenty of room for storage underneath, or even a desk for keeping homework. I also adore the idea of these bookcase beds too – it’s a fabulous way to really encourage kids to settle down with a good book, something I find really relaxing and hope the boys will too as they get older.

If you’re looking for something a bit funkier, these funky ‘locker’ room style pieces of furniture are awesome for creating that masculine vibe for slightly older boys (or girls who don’t want a ‘pretty’ room) and for younger children these teepee beds are my absolute fave!

Room to grow has been selling children’s furniture since 1996, which means they have years upon years of experience providing parents with space saving solutions in the form of hard wearing and durable furniture.
