I’m Vicki and I blog at www.victoriahockley.co.uk. I’m married to Andy and I’m a stay at home mum to five year old James and two year old Freddie.
1.) Do you suﬀer with stress frequently or occasionally?
I have suffered with stress off and on for years! I can go ages with no stress then all of a sudden it kicks back in again!
2.) What sort of things cause you stress?
Anything can trigger stress for me, but normally it will be something going wrong or the kids misbehaving.
3.) Does anything in particular make stress worse for you?
Being on my own with the kids when they are misbehaving is a pressure for me. Especially at the end of a school term when James is exhausted and tired.
4.) Does stress have an impact on your physical health?
I get so tired when I’m stressed. All I want to do is curl up and sleep!
5.) What do you do to alleviate stress?
I curl up in my bed on a night with Netflix or YouTube, normally I will fall asleep with the iPad on!
6.) Do you think more needs to be done to raise awareness of what causes stress and the impact it has on us and those around us? If yes, what would you do or like to see done?
Yes, definitely. More needs to be done to raise awareness especially in the media!
7.) Do you have any tips for anyone dealing with stress?
Just to try and take some time out especially on a weekend. Having a hot bath with a bath bomb is one of my favourite ways to relax!!
