Tangible memories with HP Sprocket photo printer

As a family we’re so lucky to do a lot of really wonderful things. We get to go to some pretty fantastic places, see some amazing sites and enjoy (ahem, for the most part) each other’s company on weekends and in holidays. Like a lot of families we do these things and take a bajillion photos, probably more so than a lot here actually what with me being a blogger/instagrammer/wanky mum with expensive camera she doesn’t know how to use.

With that being said, I’ve noticed something rather sad in our household: we don’t have any photos hanging on the walls. I have all these beautiful family photos, some silly and fun at home, some reminders of work I’ve done but loved every second of doing with the kids and some beautiful staged-through-snarls-and-gritted-teeth perfect-ish family shots. As we’re in the process of re-decorating the house and possibly looking into a conversion and/or extension, I thought maybe now is time to start bringing our family life off the screen and into the blank canvas walls that we have.

I think for me, it’s always a case of “I’ll do it later” and I never get round to it. I can print photos on my WiFi printer but to be completely honest they always look a bit naff, even with the beautiful oh-so-costly photo quality paper I fork out for. I could nip into town and go to Boots, use their printer, but then I have to stand around waiting for photos whilst little Miss redecorates the stands and the boys play some kind of destructive tag game around the shop. I don’t have time to make a trip somewhere especially for the purpose of printing photos, so I need a better at home solution.

This Christmas, on my wish list for me, is the HP sprocket photo printer white and rose gold limited edition set. The ease of pushing a button on your app and having the photo there and then in the highest quality because the photo sprocket is designed exclusively for the purpose of printing photos. What I love the most about this is that it is one cracking gift, with a photo album (remember those – the ones that *aren’t* on a Facebook page and don’t require ANYONE to push like!) and a super stylish copper sparkly bag. Which I will be stealing for other uses no doubt. You can use the app to edit your photos too so this makes a wonderful gift for adults and teens alike – nothing is more fun than taking a selfie with your bestie and then peppering it with emojis and a funky background, printing it for both of you to keep for, like, foreves. As you can see, I’m not a mum of teens but I’m still pretty sure I nailed the vibe there. For me, it’s more about the perfect photos for my wallet, for my car and my desk. It’s about having something tangible to remember with.

I think, as much as my life revolves around tech and social media, we have become a bit too focused on our digital content and less on the physical nods to our memories. I miss walking up the stairs and seeing my family smiling back at me when we were in a certain place. A photograph really is a memory that we can hold, and as my kids are growing so quickly of late, with three sets of milestones to capture, I would love to display them a bit more.

So, the HP Sprocket photo printing set is a must have for anyone who wants to have and hold memories in their hands, not their phones, without the effort and hassle that life just won’t allow for. Lastly, there is an offer on Groupon at the moment for an LED photo peg set (not an ad, I just bought one last night!) go go!

 Basically all of us yeah?

 H 🙂

For best results, use Original HP ZINK sticky-backed photo Paper: it’s specially designed to ensure you get bright, glossy photos with vibrant colors every time you print.

I completely see your point about “I’ll do it later” when getting photos printed for the walls. I have some photos on our walls, but the last time I changed the photos in the frames must have been years (and years) ago because in the girls’ bedroom, there isn’t a single photo of Wriggly (she’s 3 1/2)… Must update those frames! We have the sprocket too and I blooming love it! We went to the Harry Potter studios last night and I took it with me so the kids could get sticky photos instantly to put in their Warner Studios Passports 🙂

Sounds like everyone needs one of these in their lives. My daughter (13, actually all of them 10 and 8) would love this, and would be printing everything! Xx
