Gifts over £50 for children 2017

I am very much a fan of the splurge at Christmas so I have several of the “higher” end gifts in here. I love them and once again, these are all things that we either already have or want.

Left corner to start going clockwise

  1. Luvabella £99.99

The only toy I haven’t linked because currently she is out of stock everywhere, however stock is coming back for Christmas. Despite what you might think on first glance, Luvabella is AMAZING. We have a Luvabella for Edith for her Christmas present and she is absolutely adorable, not at all like the prototype that went viral on facebook. The doll comes in 3 female varieties and 1 male – and it is completely designed with CHILDREN, not just girls, in mind with the option to change the voice to “hello dada” or “hello mama”.

2. Monqi mobile phone £129.99

I reviewed this earlier in the year and opened up the dialogue about having a mobile phone for 7-12 year olds. When I was first contacted I wasn’t sure about this but honestly it is amazing – so many controls on it allow it to be safer than anything I’ve seen (including a tablet – which we all know ever child seems to have). I would seriously urge any parents thinking about a mobile phone for their 7-12 year olds to look at the Monqi in depth it’s a super sleek, very awesome smartphone.

3. Minecraft Lego set £69.99

Reuben has been pleading for this for weeks and I’m hoping to get it on his Christmas list. It’s a minecraft lego set which will hopefully go someway to getting them off the screens and into real play time. I love that this is minecraft for those very reasons, but it also follows the minecraft create mode in that you can build so many things. A big thumbs up for minecraft lovers.

4. BB-8 children’s shoes £65

With the new Star Wars movie coming out, these shoes are the coolest gift for any young (or teen) fan. They are simply awesome, ethically made and they come in a variety of styles – including some rather awesome chewbacca boots. If that isn’t enough to make you think they are worth the investment, then they come in your size too so that everyone can match or rock the Star wars vibe!

5. Disney Princess animators mini set £119.99

Bit obsessed with this. Not going to lie, I want it for me! The animators are not only gorgeous toys but super collectable. These are currently reduced too, so how long that lasts I don’t know but I absolutely can’t impress upon you enough to grab them whilst you can – the mega set sold out weeks before Xmas last year!

6. Nintendo 3DS games console £149.99

We bought one of these for Toby for his birthday and, despite being expensive, it has been one of the best gifts we could have given him. He LOVES it, his brother is super jealous and so is his dad in fairness. It’s something that we can take in the car, around the shops with us – wherever we need him to be a bit quiet! He can pick up so many really educational games too!

7. Loog Guitar £69.99

I’m a touch obsessed with this too – I LOVE the idea of the kids having instruments that they can play music on but I really don’t have any clue how to play most of them, so everything we’ve bought them to date has just been to play with and bash about. This is superb because it comes with some cards that teach you how to make the notes!

8. FurReal Tiger £99.99

I’m sorry, I know I had a FurReal pet in the previous guide and I’m not sponsored by them in anyway, I just think they are bloody epic. I know that this tiger and the white tiger have so many more features than the basic pets so I think they are worth the extra fee. Expensive? Yes, but HOURS of fun.
